Girl Scout Go-Getters: Empowering Girls One Step at a Time

Girl Scout Go-Getters: Empowering Girls One Step at a Time

marathon post

Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is proud to have a group of athletes running the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of our council. These runners have dedicated their time and effort in support of our organization, both with intense physical training and fundraising.

Each of our runners has a connection to Girl Scouts. Whether as a Girl Scout troop leader, a Girl Scout alum, a volunteer, or a proud Girl Scout dad, they all have one goal in mind—to support Girl Scouts GCNWI by running 26.2 miles.

Our participants have been jogging for miles and raising funds for many months in preparation for next week’s race on Sunday, October 7. Will you help them cross the finish line?

Here’s how you can make an impact

Donate now to help our runners meet their fundraising goal!

Join us on Sunday, Oct. 7, any time between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. and cheer on our Girl Scout Go-Getters. See some true Girl Scout spirit in action! Please contact Holly Johnson for details.
